Has Anyone Tried Denagard
We have a couple of hens with an URI they don't seem too bad. Just want to get rid of it before it gets worse. I have read the forumn on how do you treat uri's which was very good. But I am not sure how long is the withdral for Baytril and how long with be the withdrawl for Denagard. And has anyone tried Denagard with any success? They are just a couple of hens that lay eggs for the family.

I can't advise on Denagard as I've never used it.
Have you tried Tylan Soluble. It takes about 3/4 days to be fully effective but does work a treat. Meat withdrawl for birds treated with Tylan is only one day. So egg withdrawal will be less than a more potent antibiotic.

Thank you for your advice. We started them on baytril yesterday on advice from our vet. But he still couldn't answer me on how long a withdrawl peroid before we can start eating there eggs again. We are going to scramble the ones they lay while on the baytril and feed them back to them. Thank you again for the help.

I always do a 5 week withdrawal for eggs from Baytril treated birds but recently I've read on other forums that 6 weeks is more realistic.
Josh, I'd be careful eating eggs during such a strong treatment, better safe than sorry.

Thank You, I would say we will do a 5 week withdrawl. They are improving quite a bit & enjoying their scrambled eggs everyday!
