Wednesday, December 9th, 2015 There is no need to keep you hens company, they will get on just fine with a rooster and be even happier without the bullish behavior of one.

Wednesday, December 9th, 2015 No I don't keep them their crow is not as high pitched as other bantams.

Wednesday, December 9th, 2015 Marc R your contribution is nonsensical ?.
Joric when you say bantam do you mean true ,ie miniature fowl
or not as someone else is suggesting you get a game cock which will make small hens very unhappy when it matures.
Some true bantam roosters are fairly quiet and wont get you in to trouble with neighbours if that's the issue. But not to crow as normal? well is abnormal and im sure someone on here will be only too delighted to stick you with one of them.

Wednesday, December 9th, 2015 Hi bantam1, thanks for the response, im looking for a true bantam, yes im concern about nieghbours, i know that theres no rooster that wont crow, but some of the tiniest bantams has a squick more than a crow, theres a few that would come out in a brood, mostly from serama, japanese bantams, sebrights, belgian quail and some other tiny breeds. there might someone out there that might have one. Thanks again.

Thursday, December 10th, 2015 Hello again. if you choose one of the ones you mentioned then you should not have a noise issue with adjoining neighbours,
even in a built up area provided you approach it sensibly.
Good luck with it.
Regards.

Thursday, December 10th, 2015 Belgians make none stop noise. Crow the whole day long.
Your hens don't need a male. They will be happy without a cockerel. The hens will go broody anyway and at that time you can get fertile eggs and move these under the sitting hen.

Friday, December 11th, 2015 If you go with any type of Belgians
They crow very often and is very high pitched

Sunday, December 13th, 2015 some seramas re quite crowers but depends on how far you are from the neighbours
you can buy collars to soften the roosters crow lthough i think it wouldnt be very fair to the bird
