Brinsea Mini Advance Incubator question

I have set 4 eggs in my new Brinsea Incubator today. However the eggs are a bit small and the egg disk I have is designed for larger eggs. Will they be okay, or should I try and source a small egg disk?

Anyone with experience of this?

Thanks.

Hi Tilly
I put in 2 bantam eggs with 5 Lf eggs and the small eggs were not turning properly. After a few turns they were crossways in the egg disk. Luckily i had a broody at the same time and swapped them for 2 of hers.
I also tried turkey eggs in it and they were a disaster. They were too big and heavy and the egg disk wouldnt turn.
I hope this helps. Maybe someone else had different results.
Good luck.
Mary.

As long as the eggs are turning Tilly it should be fine. In the instructions there is a page which shows the diameter of different eggs and recommends the turn angle to be set for the correlating diameter.

If the eggs are not turning for you, you can set the auto turn mechanism "off" and just turn them yourself by hand until you can get the small egg disc.
